Ten contestants joined the Country Ham Biscuit Eating Contest on Saturday morning at the Trigg County Country Ham Festival in Cadiz to raise funds for charity organizations.
Anthony Browder was the winner after devouring 9.5 biscuits in eight minutes and raised $2,500 for Genesis Express, with more than $600 donated to Seven Friends represented by John David Fourquean, and Imagination Library represented by Lindsey Stewart.

Today, July 19, 2021, our Genesis Express team begun their annual summer reading camp. This year the camp was directed by Trigg County High School graduate, Cara Allen. It is of to a wonderful start with a large group of students who are eager to learn and get involved. Fitness was measured and the students begun sprouting their very own green beans! We hope for a wonderful week with our students.

The Trigg County senior was named First-Team All-State in the 200-meter dash by the Kentucky Track and Cross Country Coaches Association. He won the 200-meter dash at the Class 2A State Meet in a school-record time of 22.06 seconds. He was also named Second-Team All-State in the 100 meters after a third-place finish in 11.07 seconds.
